2026 Ford Mustang FX Package Brings Back Fox Body Swagger
Summer is back, baby — and while most of us nostalgic folk might not be able to cruise around in a classic Fox Body Mustang with a cassette deck blasting Bon Jovi or some other '80s hits, Ford is going to give Mustang enthusiasts something even better. What's that you ask? Well, Ford has just dropped a brand-new '80s inspired Mustang. So, grab your Ray-Bans, throw on that Members-Only jacket, and let's talk about the 2026 Ford Mustang FX Package, which just arrived to teleport your soul straight to 1987.
The FX Package (short for “Fox Package”) is Ford’s rad tribute to the legendary Fox Body Mustang, the third-gen pony car that ruled the streets (and our hearts) from 1979 to 1993. From the recently released images, we think America's best-selling sports car looks pretty spectacular, especially in that funky '80s color scheme in Adriatic Blue Metallic, which is inspired by the OG Fox Body Teal.
It looks like Ford is attempting to blend the vintage Fox Body styling cues with today’s Mustang DNA—and the result is totally gnarly. It does not matter if you were born in the ‘80s, raised on VHS (if you can remember), or just dig retro flavor, because this new package for the 2026 Mustang GT pulls some major retro vibes.
