Mustang Almost Outsells Ford’s Entire EV Portfolio in November 2025
Something interesting happened inside Ford’s November sales report, and it shows us a little more about where American car shoppers stand in 2025. The 61-year-old Mustang, a gas-powered V8 icon with roots older than most of its buyers, almost outsold Ford’s entire EV portfolio. The official sales numbers tell a story that seems to be recurring a lot these days: internal combustion is cooling off slower than electric demand is falling.
While Ford has spent the last few years positioning itself as a leader in mainstream EVs, the Mustang pulled off something quite unexpected. It sold 4,207 units in November. Ford’s three EVs, the Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, and E-Transit, added up to only 4,247. That’s a margin of 40 vehicles. For a single gas model to nearly match an entire electric portfolio is ... interesting. Very interesting.
