For Sale: 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback "135-Series" (Wimbledon White, 428ci "Cobra Jet" V8, 4-speed)

This 1968 Ford Mustang fastback is one of 50 initial “135-series” 428 “Cobra Jet” cars that were produced for NHRA stock class homologation, and this car was the third example produced. Each was delivered new in Wimbledon White over black vinyl upholstery, and power comes from a 428ci “Cobra Jet” V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a 9″ rear axle. This car was delivered new to Paul Harvey Ford of Indianapolis, Indiana as a marketing vehicle, and it was modified for racing under previous ownership before being acquired by the seller in March 2021. Features include a hood scoop, flared rear wheel arches, staggered-width Cragar wheels, and an aftermarket gauge pod. A repaint in white and an engine rebuild are said to have been carried out in 2021. This “Cobra Jet” Mustang fastback is now offered with a Deluxe Marti report, engine-rebuild photos, and a clean West Virginia title in the seller’s name.
