Barrett-Jackson, Fender Team Up To Build Matching 1969 Ford Mustang and Guitar
Barrett-Jackson is no longer just one of the biggest collector car auction houses on the planet — it also now has its own in-house custom shop dubbed Barrett-Jackson Builds. And it’s kicking off its first project in style — by teaming up with Fender Custom Shop to build a matching 1969 Ford Mustang restomod and Fender Custom ’69 Stratocaster guitar and Tone Master Deluxe Reverb custom amplifier mounted in the Mustang’s trunk.
Like all future projects from Barrett-Jackson Builds, this one-off duo will be sold at B-J’s flagship 2021 Scottsdale auction this March with no reserve and will be unveiled prior to the sale. The project will also launch a new digital series called “Barrett-Jackson Builds,” which will begin with a 10-part series documenting the process of turning this 1969 Ford Mustang into a show-stopping restomod.
