Victor Sarguis’ 1972 Ford Mustang Sprint Restomod

Victor Sarguis’ 1972 Ford Mustang Sprint Restomod

Victor Sarguis’ 1972 Ford Mustang Sprint came from the factory with the Cobra Jet along with a four-speed manual transmission. Just 90 Sprint hardtops in ’72 came with the 351-4V CJ. Victor’s Sprint now has a little more gallop than what Ford bestowed it with, but more on that a little later.

Victor found the hardtop in the summer of 1993 at a body shop next to where he worked. The original-owner’s son had just wrecked the front left corner of the car and they hadn’t decided if they wanted to repair it or not. Victor made an offer to buy the car and it was quickly accepted. He moved from Silicon Valley to the Sacramento area in July 1994 with the Sprint in tow, and soon he began working on it and had it repainted by his friend Randy Stone. All the while the plans were to bring it back to its original glory as a Package B Sprint — then the plans got derailed.
