For Sale: 1968 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Convertible (Lime Gold, 428ci V8, 3-speed auto)

This Ford Mustang is one of 402 Shelby GT500 convertibles built for the 1968 model year and was first sold by Carey Paul Ford of Decatur, Georgia. The car spent time in Ohio and Washington State before undergoing a refurbishment and being acquired by the selling dealer in 2019.

Power comes from a replacement 428ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and the car is finished in Lime Gold over black vinyl. Factory equipment includes power-assisted steering and front disc brakes, the Extra Cooling package, an AM radio, and more. New spark plugs were fitted and the carburetor serviced under current ownership.

This GT500 convertible has won three Concours Gold awards at classic Shelby and Mustang events following the refurbishment and is offered with manufacturer’s literature, previous registration documentation, a copy of its entry in the Shelby Registry, Mustang Club of America judging sheets, an Elite Marti Report, and a clean Ohio title.
